FEARLESS RECORDS ANNOUNCES 25TH ANNIVERSARY 7″ SERIES
FEARLESS RECORDS is celebrating 25 years of being at the forefront of the rock genre in 2019. The label is launching a 7″ series, with new releases dropping on the 25th of each month. Each month will feature a surprise artist — details will not be revealed in advance, resulting in a new sonic thrill at the end of every month.
The series kicks off today, January 25, with the Plain White T’s. The 7″ includes the band’s smash hit “Hey There Delilah,” along with “Light Up the Room” on exclusive vinyl with custom artwork created by the band. Fans can purchase the 7″ here.
“2019 is going to be wild,” said Fearless President and Chief Creative Officer Jenny Reader. “Not only is it shaping up to be our biggest release year yet, but it’s also Fearless’ 25th anniversary as a label. We are so incredibly excited to start unveiling all the insane things we will be doing to celebrate the label’s legacy, our incredible artists, and fans.”
Reader continued, “The first of our special vinyl releases, the 7″ series honors some of our most popular songs from our past and current artists. We worked with them to make each unique, with curated artwork, unreleased tracks from the archives, and new material. Of course, we had to start with ‘Hey There Delilah’ — few bands can claim a four-times Platinum, Grammy-nominated release that transcended into the fabric of pop culture. So much respect to the band and to [Fearless founder and Chairman Emeritus] Bob [Becker] for believing in the song to allow it so much success and love. It is still magic each time they play it, and I don’t think that will ever fade.”
Since 1994, Fearless Records has set and maintained the pace for alternative, rock, hard rock, and heavy metal music. The independent label continues to represent the pulse of the culture with a diverse and dynamic roster. Given the depth and breadth of the label’s catalog over two decades, the series will be incredibly exciting for fans of the label and its rich roster of artists, both past and present.
