FEARLESS RECORDS SIGNS CAPSTAN
BAND SHARES NEW SONG + VIDEO “STARS BEFORE THE SUN” — LISTEN + WATCH

FALL TOUR WITH SILVERSTEIN KICKS OFF ON NOVEMBER 9

Fearless Records is pleased to announce the signing of Capstan to the label. To celebrate the partnership, the brand has released the new song + video for “Stars Before The Sun.” Listen + watch here.

Florida’s Capstan are a high-energy mix of pop-punk, prog, and post-hardcore, fueled by an absurd amount of beer. They are authoring their own unique genre with their music, taking inspiration from a vast variety of sources, from A Day to Remember to The Wonder Years to Every Time I Die to Between the Buried and Me  — think “Progressive Post Hardcore.”

“We were inspired by the Clarence Darrow quote: ‘When we fully understand the brevity of life, its fleeting joys and unavoidable pains; when we accept the facts that all men and women are approaching an inevitable doom: the consciousness of it should make us more kindly and considerate of each other,'” the band said, offering insight into the new track. “It is truly a double-sided coin: life may lack objective meaning, but we can make the most of it and be happy in the incredibly short time that we have — Life fades like stars before the sun.”

“Creating meaningful art and connecting with others has always been the main focus for us, and we’ve worked incredibly hard from day one to help Capstan grow into this really cool thing,” the band said about partnering with the label. “Signing was always on our minds, but finding the right opportunity was vital every step of the way. Fearless Records really stood out from the moment we first made contact, because they wanted Capstan for what it is at its core. They believe in our vision and have given us the opportunity for our music to reach beyond what we ever thought possible. We couldn’t ask for a better situation, and are so happy to be a part of the Fearless Family.”

The band, who appeared on Warped Tour 2018, will be touring with Silverstein through the Fall 2018 and into early Winter 2019, appearing on both legs of the band’s When Broken Is Easily Fixed 15th anniversary tour, which kicks off on Friday, November 9. All of the tour dates are below.
