International artist management company Raw Power has announced the signing of acclaimed new band Black Foxxes to its successful record label imprint Search and Destroy.
Search and Destroy, which has launched bands such as Mallory Knox, Don Broco, Axewound, Crossfaith, and While She Sleeps among others, joined forces with Spinefarm Records last year. Part of Universal Music Group, Spinefarm has offices in London, New York, and Helsinki, as well as a network of support around the world in association with Caroline, the global label services division of UMG.
South West based UK three-piece Black Foxxes have enjoyed widespread critical acclaim in their short career to date. Their debut EP Pines, which was released at the tail end of 2014, received praise across the board and they have been championed across specialist radio by a number of key tastemakers.
Don Jenkins, Commercial Director at Raw Power Management said, “Black Foxxes are the third act to sign to Search & Destroy Records since the label hooked up with Spinefarm Records last year and we’re really excited to have them join the roster. They blend beauty and intensity in a unique way and we can’t wait to start making an album with them under the A&R guidance of Daniel P Carter, which will be released early next year.”
Spinefarm Records executive Dante Bonutto said, “One of the most exciting things in our industry is getting the chance to work with a band early in their career, and myself and my colleagues at Spinefarm are delighted to be involved with a young act of this calibre and with this much potential. Ultimately, those songs we go back to time and again are the ones where the emotion shines through, and Black Foxxes have the natural ability to achieve this level of connection. Their debut album should be something special.”
Black Foxxes are playing the Reading & Leeds Festivals in August and will be touring extensively with The Dear Hunter & Turbowolf throughout the autumn.
