CHURCH TONGUE SIGN TO BLOOD & INK

NEW ALBUM HEART FAILURE OUT OCTOBER 21

BAND PREMIERES NEW SONG “MEDICINE BREATH” OVER AT LAMBGOAT — LISTEN

BAND ALSO TOURING THIS FALL

Indianapolis-based band Church Tongue have signed to Blood & Ink and will release Heart Failure on October 21. The band has teamed up with Lambgoat to premiere the first taste of music from the record in the form of the song “Medicine Breath,” featuring Vanna’s Davey Muise. Listen to it here.

About the song, vocalist Michael Sugars told Lambgoat, “This song is in a constant battle for favorite song on the record for me. I have a lot of strong feelings about what bands stand for, do not stand for or fake. Art is a reflection of the environment and experience around you. If you fabricate it into a substance that is worth less than an expired microwaved hot dog, there’s a good chance I feel strongly towards you.”

He continued, “When I sent this song to Davey Muise of Vanna, he came back with a part written about snake oil peddling. I had no clue what that was, so I did some quick reading. A snake oil peddler is someone who sells fraudulent goods that prove to be of no benefit. It was a great tie in to the song and Davey made his part soar. Question everything, and have an awareness for who bands truly are. They are a lot of ‘fake it till you make it’ players out there.”

Church Tongue will tour with Household this fall, as well. Dates are below.
