LISTEN TO PURSON’S NEW SINGLE “ELECTRIC LANDLADY” FROM FORTHCOMING SPINEFARM DEBUT DESIRE’S MAGIC THEATRE
BAND CURRENTLY TOURING U.S. IN SUPPORT OF GHOST
(New York, N.Y.): Purson are currently on tour in the U.S. supporting Ghost. The band has also revealed the first single from its forthcoming studio album Desire’s Magic Theatre, which is also its Spinefarm debut.
The song is “Electric Landlady” and you can listen to it here. It is accompanied by a striking kaleidoscopic lyric video, created by Craig Gowans.
The UK outfit makes music that touches on a variety of sonic realms, ranging from folk to prog to psychedelic to gothic to classic rock. Purson blend otherworldly romance with shadowy foreboding and that is evident on the riff-roaring and amp-shaking “Electric Landlady.”
Desire’s Magic Theatre is due out this Spring. But the band didn’t want fans to wait for a taste of new music.
In other Purson news, the band just won the coveted Vanguard Award at the 2015 Progressive Music Awards in London. The Vanguard Award is particularly significant as it is awarded to artists who deserve to be recognized for their broader appeal.
Purson are: Rosalie Cunningham (vocals, guitars), George Hudson (guitars), Justin Smith (bass),
Sam Shove (keyboards), and Raphael Mura (drums).
