BAD SEED RISING RELEASE AWAKE IN COLOR

DEBUT ALBUM OUT TODAY VIA ROADRUNNER RECORDS

NEW TOUR PLANS REVEALED SOON

Maryland up ‘n’ comers Bad Seed Rising have released Awake In Colorthrough Roadrunner Records today, September 30. The album is their full-length debut and follows a pair of EPs.

Bad Seed Rising have steadily built a name for themselves over the past few years, starting their career as the youngest band to ever sign to Roadrunner, doing so in their early teens, earning them “Band to Watch” status from Revolver.

The female-fronted band also saw one of their songs featured in the closing credits of the Melissa McCarthy 2015 summer blockbuster Spy. All the while, the band continued to tour and develop its sound.

Bad Seed Rising also wrapped a successful stint on the 2016 Vans Warped Tour, which saw them featured at Buzzfeed. The band next headed out on a trek with I Prevail. Awake In Color was preceded by the video for “I Can Feel You,” which premiered via Alternative Press, and “Fighting Gravity.”

Bad Seed Rising are currently on tour with Islander through mid-October. Once that tour wraps, the band will reveal its next slate of tour plans. The four-piece plans to remain a fixture on the road for the rest of 2016 and throughout 2017 in support of Awake In Color.

More details and tickets are available here.

“We’ve worked hard on this album and we feel like we have matured in many ways, not simply age-wise. This album is a reflection of who we are growing into,” said singer Francheska Pastor about Awake In Color. “To be categorized in any music genre would be placing ourselves in a box, in which we could only pace back and forth. We want to push outside of that box. We want to do the unpredictable, and that’s what we did with this album.”
